As the deer panteth …

As the deer panteth

“O God, I have tasted Thy goodness, and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I am painfully conscious of my need for further grace. I am ashamed of my lack of desire. O God, the Triune God, I want to want Thee; I long to be filled with longing; I thirst to be made more thirsty still. Show me Thy glory, I pray Thee, so that I may know Thee indeed. Begin in mercy a new work of love within me. Say to my soul, ‘Rise up my love, my fair one, and come away.’ Then give me grace to rise and follow Thee up from this misty lowland where I have wandered so long.”

A New Addition to Our Family

A New Addition to Our Family

I always heard about Gucci but never meet him. His former family adored him so much, and now I understand why.

My husband and I were invited to our Pastor’s home for a late evening get together. Well, we meet 2 little beautiful Maltese puppies for the first and our hearts melted.

Both dogs were drawn to us and neither one wanted to leave our side. I held both for a long while as I socialize with others around me.

The evening turned out to be wonderful, we said good bye at least 10 times before we finally left and went on home to our family.

I got a call first thing the following morning from my Pastor stating that she felt the need to give us Gucci as a gift from her and her husband.

I was really thrilled, I was speechless. We planned to adopt one during the Christmas season but God was saying now is the time.

Our girls were ecstatic when they heard the news. Ever since Gucci came into our lives we have experienced so much joy, peace and love. We are very grateful for this adorable gift.

He has bonded with each of us unique way, in an unreplicable way 🙂

Progress…

Progress

Progress is the product of human agency. Things get better because we make them better. Things go wrong when we get too comfortable, when we fail to take risks or seize opportunities.

Progression

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.

Sir Winston Churchill British politician (1874 – 1965)

A grateful Heart

“Sometimes I go to God and say, “God, if Thou dost never answer another prayer while I live on this earth, I will still worship Thee as long as I live and in the ages to come for what Thou hast done already. God’s already put me so far in debt that if I were to live one million millenniums I couldn’t pay Him for what He’s done for me.”
