Make a Decision and Take Action

Life offers us time to reflect.
It gives us that needed moment to
look within ourselves and self assess.

Sometimes what we see is exactly
what the doctor ordered.
We realize that it’s time to
Make a decision…

*Getting up and dusting ourselves
*Allowing love to invade our space
*Getting that new job
*Taking that course to self improve
*Going on that vacation
*Visiting the sick
*Feeding the homeless
*Welcome new neighbors
*Moving into that new home
*Getting that degree
*Having lunch with a friend
*Calling up a friend from back in the days
*Committing or recommitting to God

Take Time to Smell the Roses

Take Time to Smell the Roses

“What a lovely thing a rose is!… Our highest assurance of Providence seems to me to rest in the flowers. All other things, our powers, our desires, our food are all really necessary for our existence in the first instance. But this rose is an extra. Its smell and color are an embellishment of life, not a condition of it. It is only goodness which gives extras, and so I say again that we have much to hope from the flowers.”

― Arthur Conan Doyle, The Naval Treaty

Love, the Greatest Gift of All

Image

Love is the greatest gift of all.

We ought to love others as we love ourselves.

Even when we feel otherwise.

We may feel a certain person may not deserve our love

because they’ve hurt us at some point.

When we think about what Jesus did on the cross

we find strength to move forward in love.

Taking this big step is very liberating.

It is used as a launching pad to take us deeper in our walk with God.

When we do so it releases our hearts to forgive.

Jesus said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”.

This was truly a selfless act and we have the ability to do the same.

To love enough to forgive others is a gift we give not only

to the offender but also to ourselves.

Love is the greatest gift of all.
